It is common that the back sizes that are worn are too big and the cup size too small; which means that the breasts are not being supported in the right way.
Wearing the correct bra size is vital as the weight will effect your posture and can lead to more serious problems if left uncorrected. A correclty fitted bra will show off your figure to it's best potential, and your silhouette will be enhanced, ensuring your curves are in all the right places!
Ensuring you have a correctly fitting bra is a simple way to boost your confidence and ensure your body looks its best. We would recommend you are professionally measured every 6 - 12 months.
To avoid buying the wrong size bra, we would recommend that you do not try and measure yourself; there are plenty of trained professionals and it is the key to getting the best fitting bra.

A Guide to Fitting
Rib cage measurement:
Firstly, please remember for the best bra fitting you need to have your measurement from around your rib cage, taken immediately below the bust. N.B. Please remember, it is advised that you don't attempt to take this measurement yourself, as there is a 95% chance it will be incorrect - just ask a friend or proffesional bra fitter to help.
The measuring tape should be pulled tight as most bras are elasticated and will give with wear from washing etc.
If the measuring tape reads an even number + 4 or if it reads an odd number +5.
For example 29 inches plus 5 = 34; this is your rib cage measurement.
This measurement is very important as it is where the support comes from and should fit very snug around you. This is particularly important for C cups and above as the bust is heavy and requires better support to give a better shape and to help your posture.
Cup Size:
The cup size is determined by breast size. When a bra is correctly fitted, the cup should be full but not over flowing.
An important sign to look for when determing whether the cup size is correct is to look where the wire comes around to under your arm; it should run under the width of the breast, but must not be in the breast tissue. It is essential that this is correct, as it is vitally important for the body's health and development, to allow change in the body in this area.
Please note the above is only a guide and is intended for your information. Bras from different companies fit slightly differently, and so this should be taken into consideration.
Below is how we think the sizing from each company comes up in the UK.
DKNY - an American brand - slighty generous on the sizing of the bra cup and the bra back. The label in the knicker and thongs reads S = 10/12 M = 12/14 L = 14/16
Elle Macpherson Intimates - an Austailian brand. The back is ocassionally a fraction small and the we advise the thongs and knickers are as follows S = 8/10 M = 10/12 L= 12/14
